Master Chef USA

masterchefMasterChef USA first aired on PBS during the Spring of 2000, asking one simple question, “Who is the best amateur cook in America?” Each week three amateurs battled each other to cook the best original two-course menu in only two and a half hours and with only $60. Each weekly winner advanced to the next round of competition and one step closer to the Grand Prize. Hosted by Michelin Chef Gary Rhodes, one of Britain’sbest-loved chefs, and including celebrity judges, the 13-episode series was among the top ranked of PBS cooking shows during the time.
